Privacy Policy
Short version: the App doesn’t send your video or statistics anywhere. When you buy on this website, we get only your email, and your license key is checked once, when you activate it.
1. The App
- Camera. The App uses your Mac’s camera to notice when a hand approaches your face. Every frame is processed on your Mac in real time. Video is never recorded, saved or transmitted.
- Statistics. Touch counts, progress and rewards are stored only on your Mac, inside the App’s own folder (
~/Library/Containers/com.watchyourhands.mac). Delete the App and this folder to erase them. - No tracking. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party trackers.
2. Buying on watchyourhands.com
Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. You enter your payment details in Paddle’s checkout; we never see your card details. Paddle processes your data under its own privacy policy: paddle.com/legal/privacy.
From the purchase we receive and keep:
- your email address — to send you the license key and download link, to resend the key if you lose it, and to answer your messages;
- the order number, date and amount — to handle refunds and support.
We don’t send marketing emails and don’t share your email with anyone.
3. Activating the license key
When you activate the key, the App sends to our license server, once: the key, an anonymous computer ID (a one-way hash of the Mac’s hardware ID — it can’t be used to find out your serial number or who you are), the App version and the macOS version. We keep them to enforce the 3-computer limit. After activation the App doesn’t connect to the internet.
4. Where the data is stored
This website, our license server and the emails with license keys run on Cloudflare. Your email, order details and activation data are stored in Cloudflare’s database.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as your license is active, so we can restore your key and keep activation working. Write to us and we’ll delete your data; note that after that we won’t be able to resend your key.
6. Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask any question about privacy: support@watchyourhands.com. Depending on where you live, you may also contact your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies or analytics. It stores your theme and language choice in your browser. Paddle’s checkout may use cookies it needs to process the payment.
